This is a cake that I made for my son Adam's 17th birthday. He loves playing his electric guitar so I did a cake in the shape of an amplifier. He really likes the band Coheed and Cambria so I painted the keywork symbol on the back of the "amp". He chose yellow cake with chocolate pudding filling.

This was my first official cake that was for more than just family. My grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July 2009. My mom planned the party and asked if I would do the cake. I had never worked with fondant before and had never made a cake this large. It was a huge success! Everyone at the party kept telling me how good the cake looked and how good the cake tasted - even the fondant! I learned to make marshmallow fondant and I use it on all my fondant cakes. So this is where it all began...
